Malei Island Resort
What an experience! From cruising the Pacific Ocean in a 12-seater Water Taxi or flying over the BC Westcoast islands by helicopter, just getting to Malei Island is breathtaking.

Upon your arrival to the island, the beauty just continues. Coming in by water you are greeted by friendly staff who will transport you and your luggage through towering trees and lush foliage along the handcrafted boardwalk to the lodge.

If coming in by helicopter, the ocean’s magnificent waves will greet you, rolling and crashing onto the rocky shore. Staff will be there at the helipad on your arrival. Climbing the newly renovated staircase visitors come to the lodge’s deck where the beauty of the Pacific Ocean stretches out as far as the eye can see.

The lodge itself boasts soaring ceilings in the main living area, a large wood-burning stove which keeps the lodge cozy warm on those cool evenings, a fully stocked gourmet kitchen and three guest bedrooms. Two bedrooms are on the upper level. One sleeps four to five people and the other can sleep four. The main level bedroom boasts a king bed with room for a crib/cot if needed. There are two bathrooms, one on the second level and one on the main level.

Our staff are here to make your stay as comfortable and as enjoyable as possible. They will be providing you with meals and snacks, tours of the island as well as boat tours, games for the kids and information about Malei Island and the surrounding wildlife, both land and marine.

Note:
Due to the resort being off grid and adjacent to the Pacific Ocean there are certain cautions and requirements that are specific to the island.

As the weather can be brisk and rainy at times, please pack accordingly. Windbreakers and a set of warmer clothes is recommended.

The lodge is on a septic system, so we ask that you only pack biodegradable hair and personal hygiene products.

Unfortunately, due to the sensitive ecological nature of the island, pets are not allowed, and smoking is prohibited.
